Semarang, November 25, 2024 – The Notary Masters Program of Diponegoro University (UNDIP) successfully held a public lecture entitled “Auction: Auction Process by Class II Auction Officials (Theory and Practice in the Digital Era).” This public lecture was attended by students of the Notary Masters program and legal practitioners, and took place in the Seminar Room, 6th Floor, Building B, Postgraduate Program, UNDIP on Saturday, November 23, 2024.
This event presented the main speaker, Dr. Soegianto, S.H., M.Kn., who is a Lecturer in the Master of Notary Program at UNDIP and a Class II Auction Officer. In this public lecture session, Dr. Soegianto provided an in-depth explanation of the basic theory and practice of auction implementation carried out by auction officials, with a focus on the application of digital technology in the current auction process. He also discussed the various challenges and opportunities faced by auction officials in the digital era, which increasingly facilitates and accelerates the auction process, while still maintaining aspects of fairness and transparency.
Dr. Soegianto emphasized the importance of a good understanding of auction procedures, both from a legal perspective and field practice, so that auctions can be conducted fairly and effectively. He also said that the use of digital platforms has opened up many opportunities for the wider community to participate in auctions, while introducing a more efficient auction system.
This public lecture was guided by the Head of the UNDIP Notary Masters Program, Dr. Ana Silviana, S.H., M.Hum., who in her speech stated that this activity was part of UNDIP’s efforts to continue to provide the latest insights and knowledge to students, as well as bridge the relationship between the theories taught in lectures and real-world practices.
This activity was attended by more than 100 participants, consisting of students, legal practitioners, and academics who were interested in learning more about the auction process, especially that carried out by class II auction officials in Indonesia.
This event is expected to be a useful forum for students and legal practitioners to develop their understanding and skills in the field of auctions, both theoretically and practically, and understand how digital technology can be part of the transformation of the auction system in Indonesia.
